13-11-2016 SAGAING,MYANMAR - SILENT SLANT FACED GRASSHOPPER (Genus Phlaeoba)


Phlaeoba is a genus of grasshoppers in the family Acrididae and subfamily Acridinae. The recorded distribution of species includes: India, China, Indo-China and Malesia.

Adorned with a subtle color palette that blends seamlessly into grassy landscapes, silent slant-faced grasshopper thrives in open terrains where its powerful hind legs facilitate prodigious leaps, eluding predators with ease.
