The genus Bursinia includes aphid-like insects with a strange appearance due to their distinctive head, sucking beak, stunted wings, and long front legs.An example is Bursinia genei , which lives on Mediterranean thistles, sucks the juice from the plants and moves with a peculiar jumping movement when it feels threatened. 

Relationship: They are related to aphids.

They have a sucking beak to feed on plant juice.
Its wings are atrophied.
Their front legs are long and give them a curious way of walking.
Habitat and behavior:
They prefer plants such as Mediterranean thistles ( Eryngium ).
They can jump when they feel threatened.
Like aphids, ants often hang around to take advantage of the honeydew they secrete.
