Itame vincularia is a species of geometer moth native to Southern Europe (including Spain), North Africa, and parts of the Middle East.


Physical Characteristics: A medium-sized moth with a wingspan of 28–32 mm. It features a grayish-brown base color, a distinctive dark, elongated black spot near the tip of the forewing, and a noticeable wide brown-orange band across the edges.

Habitat: Typically found in scrublands, dry habitats, and woodlands where its host plants grow. 

Host Plants: The larvae feed primarily on Rhamnus (buckthorns, such as Rhamnus infectoria) and Frangula alnus.

Taxonomy: Classified under the order Lepidoptera, family Geometridae, and subfamily Ennominae. It was first formally described by the entomologist Jacob Hübner in 1813.
