Tenebrionid two centimeters long and one centimeter wide. Black in color, shiny, slightly convex at the top, dotted. Short body, oval at the back. Prothorax with lateral margins very reflected upwards; the posterior angles are very pointed in the male, while in the female they are wide, short, subacute. Elytra with smooth surface, both bearing three angular ribs; barely denticulate, almost entire.
