20-9-2017 MONTE CORONA, VALENCIA - WAVE MOTH (idaea cervantaria)


This moth is found in dry and exposed locations, with low vegetation and scattered bushes.

The caterpilla is polyphagous, feeding on: Atriplex halimus, Rubia peregrina, Galium spp.

Multivoltine species. Adults can be observed from March to December.

Distribution

It occurs on the southern coast of the Iberian Peninsula (potentially in the center of Spain) and North Africa.
