Petaloptila is a genus of true crickets (family Gryllidae) in the subfamily Gryllomorphinae, commonly known as glandular crickets. Erected by José Pantel in 1890, this genus is predominantly found on the European mainland, with a high concentration of endemic species in the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) and parts of Italy.

Aseasonal Reproduction: Because cave environments lack strict seasonal signals, adult and nymph populations frequently coexist throughout the year, suggesting continuous, aseasonal reproductive cycles.
